ArcaThread is operated by MKP Digital. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit or use ArcaThread.

MKP Digital is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

• https://www.arcathread.com
• ArcaThread's server-side rendering and extraction services, including services made available through api.arcathread.com
• communication with MKP Digital concerning ArcaThread

ArcaThread currently does not require an account, login, subscription or payment to use the public tools.

3. Browser-based tools

Most ArcaThread tools run directly in your browser.

This includes, depending on the tool:

• text processing
• image conversion and compression
• image resizing and cropping
• image metadata removal
• QR-code generation
• calculators
• PDF manipulation
• local file conversion

For these browser-based tools, the files or text you select are processed on your own device and are not intentionally uploaded to ArcaThread's servers.

Generated files are created locally in your browser unless the individual tool clearly states otherwise.

4. Server-side webpage tools

Some tools require ArcaThread to retrieve a webpage on your behalf. These include webpage extraction, webpage-to-text/Markdown/PDF workflows, table extraction and webpage screenshots.

When you use one of these tools, ArcaThread may process:

• the public URL you submit
• redirect destinations associated with that URL
• the publicly accessible webpage content returned by the source website
• technical response information such as HTTP status and content type
• the generated result required to return the requested output to you

The submitted URL is sent to ArcaThread's server-side render service because the requested function cannot be completed entirely in your browser.

ArcaThread's application code does not intentionally create a permanent archive of submitted URLs, fetched webpage content or generated screenshots. The processing is intended to be transient and limited to completing the requested operation.

Do not submit private, authenticated or otherwise access-restricted URLs. Do not include passwords, access tokens, session identifiers or other secrets in a URL submitted to ArcaThread.

ArcaThread is not designed for processing confidential information, special-category personal data or other sensitive personal information.

5. Public webpage content containing personal data

A publicly accessible webpage may contain information about identifiable individuals.

Where ArcaThread processes such content solely because a user requests a webpage conversion, extraction or screenshot, the content is processed only as necessary to perform that request. ArcaThread does not intentionally use fetched webpage content to create profiles, build a searchable archive, train models or publish a separate public copy of the source page.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of ArcaThread is lawful and that they have any rights or legal basis required for the way they use the resulting content.

6. Technical logs

When you access ArcaThread, hosting and infrastructure systems may automatically process technical information required to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the service.

This may include:

• IP address
• date and time of the request
• requested route or endpoint
• browser or user-agent information
• response status
• security and diagnostic information

Technical logs are used only for operation, security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

ArcaThread does not use technical logs for behavioural advertising or cross-site profiling.

7. Tool usage analytics

ArcaThread currently does not send tool-usage analytics to an external analytics provider.

The application may use internal browser events to coordinate or measure tool interactions locally, but these events are not intentionally transmitted to an analytics service unless this policy is updated to say otherwise.

8. Cookies and browser storage

ArcaThread does not currently use advertising, marketing, profiling or behavioural analytics cookies.

ArcaThread also does not intentionally use cookies merely to remember preferences or track users across visits.

If strictly necessary cookies or equivalent technical storage are used by the service or its infrastructure, they are used only where technically required to provide, secure or route the service requested by the user.

9. Contact and correspondence

If you contact MKP Digital about ArcaThread, we may process information you provide, such as:

• your name
• email address
• the contents of your message
• any technical information or attachments you choose to provide

This information is used to respond to your request, provide support, handle legal or privacy enquiries and document relevant correspondence.

10. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data only where a legal basis applies.

Providing a requested tool or service

When you submit a URL to a server-side ArcaThread tool, processing that URL and the resulting webpage response is necessary to provide the function you requested.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(b) where the processing is necessary to provide the requested service to you.

Where publicly accessible source content contains personal data relating to other individuals, the processing is limited to the transient operation of the requested tool.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — MKP Digital's legitimate interest in providing a functional public webpage-processing service while minimising collection, retention and further use.

Operation, security and abuse prevention

Technical request data and logs may be processed to operate the service, detect abuse, investigate errors and protect ArcaThread and its users.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — MKP Digital's legitimate interests in operating and securing its services.

Communication

If you contact us, we process your message to answer and manage the enquiry.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f), or Article 6(1)(b) where the communication is necessary in connection with a requested service or agreement.

Legal obligations and claims

Information may be processed where necessary to comply with applicable law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(c) and, where relevant, Article 6(1)(f).

11. Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be processed by service providers used to operate ArcaThread, such as hosting, infrastructure, network and security providers.

Such providers may act as data processors or, for limited service-generated data, as independent controllers under their own legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

We do not provide ArcaThread user data to advertisers or data brokers.

When a server-side webpage tool retrieves a public URL, the source website necessarily receives a request from ArcaThread's server-side infrastructure. The source website may process that request according to its own privacy policy.

12. International transfers

Some infrastructure providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, MKP Digital relies on a lawful transfer mechanism where required, such as:

• an adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission, including an applicable EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification; or
• the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with any supplementary measures required by law.

13. Retention

ArcaThread follows a data-minimisation approach.

Browser-based files and text

ArcaThread does not intentionally retain files or text processed entirely in your browser.

Submitted URLs and generated server-side results

ArcaThread's application code is designed to process these transiently and does not intentionally persist them after the request has been completed.

Technical logs

Infrastructure and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, subject to the retention settings and technical requirements of the relevant infrastructure provider.

Correspondence

Email and other correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry, maintain relevant business records and resolve potential disputes, after which it is deleted or archived only where a legal or legitimate business reason remains.

14. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to:

• request access to personal data we process about you
• request correction of inaccurate personal data
• request deletion of personal data
• request restriction of processing
• object to processing based on legitimate interests
• receive certain personal data in a portable format where the right to data portability applies
• withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

ArcaThread does not currently rely on consent for analytics or marketing cookies because those technologies are not used.

15. Complaints

If you believe MKP Digital is processing your personal data unlawfully, you may contact us first so we can investigate the issue.

16. Security

MKP Digital uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect ArcaThread and the limited data processed through the service.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should therefore avoid submitting confidential, private or access-controlled information to ArcaThread's public tools.

17. Third-party websites

ArcaThread may process or link to third-party websites.

MKP Digital does not control the privacy practices, content or security of those websites. Their own privacy policies and terms apply when you interact with them.

18. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if ArcaThread's functionality, infrastructure or legal obligations change.

The current version and effective date will be published on ArcaThread.
